HOME

"Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head" - Jesus

hahaha.. thats a pretty cool way to quote the Bible.

Ok.. so this isnt really an entry to reflect on the verse but i thought it kinda relates to what im sayin.. if anyone reads this anymore.

So ive been back in Cerritos for a little over a week now.. and ive been waking up in the middle of the night wondering where i am.  It was then i realized that this isnt home anymore.  Since my family decided to do a bit of reverse immigrationess.. my aunt and my cousin moved into our house so the house wouldnt be empty, everyone else got to keep their room except me... so maybe that has to do with it.. but even still, i dont think this is home anymore.  So where is home then? Korea?? maybe... but im thinking this was something Jesus had in mind when He was saying Home is in Heaven.

Some travel facts about me:

1) i have accumulated over 90,000 miles on Korean Air alone. 50,000 on emirates, and some more on Asiana, Egypt Air, Delta, Saudi Air, Jordan Air and Arabia Air. this was in the last 4.5 years

2) i have 7 pages left on my passport, after i got added pages. at this rate i will be out of pages by june 2009.

3) i can officially say i do not know how many plane rides and times to the airport i have been in the past month.

... you know what i dont care.. i just wanna go home now

i didn't vote

yeah yeah.. hate me.. i dont care.  im a resident of Korea for the time being and no i didnt register for my absentee ballot either.. well more like i couldnt, they dont have that over the internet.  So since i didnt vote i really have no reason to voice my opinion on xanga.. but im here in the office with no work coming in until a few hours so this is what i will do.

cali..

prop 4.. limits on abortion, gotta tell a parent.  i remember my friend wanted to get her ears pierced, she wasnt 18, didnt have parent notification, didnt happen... until we went somewhere else that didnt care.. hahaha but thats not the point! ear piercing<abortion ... nuff said

prop 8.. the definition of marriage is between a man and a woman.. the prop is about definition.. not discrimination.  it has nothing to do with the chinese exclusion act!!

president...

obama has a good economic plan.. and a good foreign policy.. but "if [my daughters] make a mistake, i dont want them punished with a baby"???? whoa whoa..i dunno about that one. u know what? i wont even go into the debate of moral issues and religion.. if u make a mistake there are consequences, no matter who or what you believe.

but outside of politics.. what makes him black? or "african-american" if u prefer..

i mean.. i dont mean to take away from what he is or what he has done... i dont mean to take away from people that are proud because they identify with him... i dont even mean to take away from the rappers that talked about seeing a black president.. but if u do the research.. the guy is more white than black..  he was from hawaii, his dad was a black muslim from Kenya, his mom was white... his parents separated at the age of 2 and only saw his dad once before he passed away.. his step dad was indonesian. his middle name is Hussein! it reminds me of that dave chapelle's show when they had the draft for the races hahaha.

edit: and now he is the president

Such exciting economic times

before i start.. richard is a jerk! we are so not friends...

Hmm.. i should update so my xanga isnt forever about Nam Gyuri.. even though shes perfect.  Still in Korea.. working.. everyday.  Get angry at dumb ppl.  Going to be moving soon, maybe ill get my own room now.. yay! dont think my korean is getting much better.. althought my typing has improved thanks to "nate on"ㅋㅋ man.. nothings new.. dangit..  maybe ill buy a dslr with my next paycheck and start taking pictures again..

anyways! maybe its cuz i was an econ major.. but economic news has become so exciting to me. hahaha  i mean besides the fact that everyone is suffering, especially me since i make money in korea and its like 70% of the actual amount if i trade it to dollars.  but this story today on cnn is awesome.

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/BUSINESS/10/26/kuwait.central.bank.ap/index.html

it might be because ive been in such oil rich countries and have seen their lifestyle, or that i have to deal with them on a regular basis, but every country in that region is set up so the poor is dependent on the rich, the rich is dependent on the... well.. the VERY rich... and the VERY rich are dependent on.. well.. OIL.. duhh.

when you start traveling you will begin to realize that the rest of the world hates on the US because we"consume too much".. well its what i hear anyways.  but what happens when the US stops consuming? well the oil prices drop, the countries that produced much doesnt need to produce anymore.. jobs are lost, and everyone suffers.. sound familiar? yeah im sure its not as simple as that, but i dont want to make this entry any more boring than it sounds.  but the question i would like to ask is "umm did you actually think u could buy up ferraris and palaces made of gold for everyone in your 5123412349 member royal family line and not work a day in your life and expect the oil money to be there the whole time??"
